Artist Statement
As an artist, I am inspired by the natural beauty of the world around me, particularly the vibrant colors and intricate forms of flowers. Through my work, I strive to capture and share this love of flora, creating pieces that are not only beautiful but also meaningful and uplifting.
I work primarily with paper, drawn to its versatility and the endless possibilities it offers for creative expression. Using the traditional craft of quilling, I cut and roll delicate strips of paper into intricate floral designs that echo the organic forms found in nature.
Approaching my practice with intention and mindfulness, I take my time repeating the process in a meditative manner. This not only allows me to create work that is technically precise but also imbues each piece with a sense of calm and serenity.
My ultimate goal as an artist is to create pieces that speak to the soul, that make the viewer feel seen, heard, and uplifted. Through my work, I hope to share my love of nature and inspire others to see the beauty in the world around them.

A Novel Voyage
Artist Statement
In "A Novel Voyage," I invite you to explore a whimsical world where imagination knows no bounds. This installation blends the magic of literature with the delicate artistry of paper, transforming altered and cut-up books into a fantastical dreamscape. Inspired by the endless possibilities found within the pages of books, the piece features paper mache hot air balloons, blimps, and other elements that seem to float effortlessly above a village crafted from repurposed materials.
At the heart of this creation lies a deep appreciation for storytelling—a passion kindled by my grandmother, who took me to get my first library card. Her love for books sparked my own, and it’s that sense of wonder that I strive to bring to life in this installation.
Through "A Novel Voyage," I hope to share the joy of letting creativity take flight, encouraging viewers to embark on their own imaginative journeys. This piece is a celebration of the worlds we create in our minds, where stories come alive, and where the boundaries between reality and fantasy blur into something truly magical.
